Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Kara moved to Atlanta as a teen then later studied at Bard University. After doing her post-graduate work at Hunter College and New York University, she worked as an art department coordinator, in film production, and on independent films. Prior to entering real estate, Kara created news documentaries for CBS, The History Channel and PBS, where one of her works won a Peabody award.
Kara has always been a fan of Brooklyn. She’s lived in Williamsburg since 1991 and works out of Corcoran’s Brooklyn Heights office. She enjoys the diversity of her community, its culture and the new discoveries Brooklyn continually offers.
