His success began in his very first year in real estate, when he was named the Hamptons and North Fork Realtors Association (HANFRA) Rookie of the year for sales of $29M - topping all other new agents on the East End in 2007. His rapid rise is attributed to a wealth of business, sales/marketing, and negotiating experience, plus an extensive list of personal and professional relationships that span decades. He has been a successful retailer and wholesale manufacturer for 30 years - responsible for merchandising, operations, strategy, and business development for some of the nation's best known apparel, accessories and houseware brands.

A native New Yorker, Michael graduated with a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Among his more notable accomplishments was joining Urban Outfitters, Inc. in 1985 where he was a division president and helped to grow the company alongside the founder for 15 years. While there, Michael helped create the initial strategy and business plans for Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Anthropology. He subsequently served as the Global CEO of Lulu Guinness Ltd. and Cath Kidston Ltd. brands prior to turning his talents to real estate which was always his passion. In addition to a longtime residency in Manhattan, this Wainscott resident has enjoyed Hamptons living for over 25 years. He has also owned properties in Florida and Colorado. Michael's other passion besides real estate is sailing. Affectionately known as the Commodore of Georgica Pond for 15 years.
