She says she only left Sag Habor for college and marriage. She studied Business Education at University of Miami and later moved to Tampa where she married and had a daughter. After ten years of living in Tampa, she could not resist coming back and coming back for good. While her initial career was in retail at Saks where she worked in cosmetic sales for many years, Phyllis later opened her own cosmetics and clothing store boutique in Sag Harbor for which she is constantly remembered. Ever since, however, she is most noted for her outstanding service, unparalleled knowledge and expert results she has long delivered as an agent who truly cares.

Besides the great enthusiasm, commitment and passion she holds for her town and those she serves, Phyllis also admits that her vibrant personality and humor definitely work in her favor as well. Outside of work, Phyllis has lent quite a bit of time to volunteer causes, particularly with the women's retreat in town. She also enjoys walking, exercising, when time allows, and has an active membership in one of the oldest temples on Long Island,Temple Adas Israel.
