My fiance and I spent nearly two years looking by ourselves for an apartment in Brooklyn. After many frustrating experiences, we finally enlisted Shannon's help. It was the biggest favor we could have done for ourselves. Within a month, we were in contract on the exact apartment we were looking for all along, and, thanks to Shannon's negotiating, at a price below what we expected to have to pay.— Matthew and Mollie, Buyer
A clever negotiator and strong client advocate, Shannon Insana is committed to delivering the best possible experience to her buyers and sellers. Whether advising first-time home buyers or researching specific trends in the market, Shannon always engages her clients with open communication and common sense.
Real estate transactions are among the most significant financial events in our lives, and Shannon loves to guide clients through them with the integrity and determination that are her hallmarks.
It was the sophisticated charm of modern brownstone Brooklyn that first drew Shannon into real estate. For years, she poured over real estate listings and studied the local market in her spare time, finally deciding to transform the hobby she never tired of into a successful career. At Corcoran, she is continually inspired to use her firm’s vast and impressive cutting-edge resources to her clients' advantage.
Prior to real estate, Shannon spent over a decade in the cultural nonprofit sector. As the Executive Assistant to the Commissioner at the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Shannon worked closely with the Mayor and City Hall, and with people from every walk of life in support of the fantastic cultural institutions that make New York City such a vibrant place.
Originally from Providence, Rhode Island, Shannon earned her undergraduate degree in Film from Bard College. She has a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Pratt Institute, where she has lectured. Shannon resides in Crown Heights, and treasures the peaceful buzz of Brooklyn. Whatever your real estate needs, Shannon would be honored to be of service.

Our broker, Shannon Insana was AMAZING. She just got it. She completely understood what we were looking for, what specifics were important to us, and what wasn't worth our time to look at. She showed us some great properties, and it only took one evening of looking with her to find an amazing place that we could not be happier with!— Emily B, Rental Client
