About Frederick

In his 16 years with Corcoran, Fred Specht has built a solid reputation as a highly committed and knowledgeable real estate associate broker as demonstrated by his membership in Corcoran's Multi-Million Dollar Club. He developed his business skills over a long career at IBM, where he held many marketing management positions. Fred has incorporated his talent, knowledge, and experience into a successful New York City real estate career. He is very knowledgeable of the varied real estate markets of Manhattan, having sold apartments in all the major areas of the city and having been a long-time Manhattan resident.

Fred has been a Director on cooperative and condominium boards and owned homes in NY, CT, CA, NC, and AZ. He can effectively advise relocation clients about NYC, the suburbs, and the management of investment property.

Fred earned a BBA degree at St. Bonaventure University and an MBA at NYU's Graduate School of Business Administration. He served in the US Army Artillery as a First Lieutenant and General's aide-de-camp. Formerly a board member of A Better Chance in New Canaan, Conn., Fred currently is a board member of the Sutton Area Community, Inc. association and member of his church's Education Committee. He resides in Manhattan with his wife, Mary Clare Bergin, who has her own interior design company and is the ex-president of the Sutton Area Community, Inc. association.
