A native New Yorker, Marcy also possesses a vast knowledge of neighborhoods and personalities, both within the borough and beyond. She also draws upon a strong family history of real estate, with her grandfather a pioneer real estate developer in the 1920s. A graduate of California College of the Arts with a BFA degree, Marcy went on to earn her Masters in Art Therapy at the University of Bridgeport. She pursued a career as a studio painter, plus worked as a teaching artist and art therapist at various homeless shelters, art schoolsand other local venues to benefit her community. Marcy also gained valuable expertise as a textile designer, and as proprietor of her own hand-painted scarf business. Her culmination of experiences made real estate seem the natural avenue for her creativity, eye for design and love of helping people, and skill of turning vision into reality. Marcy and her family reside in their own townhouse in the beautiful South Slope. This proud and contented Park Slope resident loves going to the Y, plus enjoys swimming, yoga and Pilates. She still gives her time and talents to community groups, plus spends as much spare time as possible at her art studio in DUMBO.
