Jeanne knows Brooklyn real estate is one of the most exciting places in the world to buy and sell property. Whether it’s a townhouse in Brooklyn Heights, a single family home in Midwood, a manor house in Prospect Lefferts Garden, a coop in Kensington, a brownstone in Park Slope, or a 1,2, or 3 bedroom apartment from Gowanus to Greenpoint real estate in Brooklyn is full of historic architecture, contemporary design, cultural landmarks, and constant reinvention. If you are looking to rent in Sheepshead Bay or own in Sunset Park there’s a lot to see and a lot to know.
Jeanne provides absolute integrity and start-to-finish care to her clients as they seek a new home or list their house in this demanding real estate market.
Jeanne has a few careers behind her and they all demanded and rewarded personal attention and standards of excellence. Jeanne raised organic vegetables in Vermont, ending up as a partner at Digger’s Mirth Farm in Burlington. After ten years in agriculture, she set a new course becoming an award-winning journalist in public radio. She spent 7 years in Portland, Maine covering human rights and justice as the host of Maine Things Considered for the Maine Public Broadcasting Network. She went on to serve as the lead producer for NPR’s Justice Talking with Margot Adler. She interspersed her national reporting with foreign desk assignments that took her to the Central African Republic, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, and Rwanda. "There's not much that beats world travel, but life in Brooklyn is right up there with incredible people, places, and history-in-the-making all around us. I wouldn't live anywhere else."
Since moving to New York in 2008 she’s been covering real estate and housing issues for This Old House.com. “I have interviewed a generation of stalwart professionals in the real estate industry on one story or another and it’s clear there’s great work to be done helping people to a home that’s just right for them.”
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Iowa, Jeanne attended school at Simon’s Rock of Bard College, the University of Michigan, and Columbia University. She holds an undergraduate degree in History, and a Master’s in Journalism.
Jeanne and her family live in a 19th century Victorian house in Prospect Lefferts Garden.
