The Barak/Blackburn Group Clients agree that Jennifer Carlson is a gift when it comes to their real estate needs. Her careful listening, attentive service, intuitiveness in reading their desires, and tenacity in finding the most suitable home are all strong suits that make Jennifer so popular and well referred.
Originally from Albany, Jennifer pursued a BFA from the University of Hartford, then moved to New York City to work as professional dancer who performed for many prominent dance companies and choreographers. Her creative side, combined with her knowledge of New York gained not only from its famed stages but from her personal experience living here, gives Jennifer a unique perspective on the diverse places to call home. From Washington Heights to Fort Greene and on to Williamsburg where she currently resides, Jennifer has tasted many wonderful New York neighborhood niches.
Jennifer’s success in making her buyers, sellers and renters feel comfortable throughout the real estate process lies in her ability to form relationships, and openly communicate. With her, clients feel at ease, as she takes charge of the often intricate transaction and even makes it fun. “Finding or selling a home is a huge undertaking. I try to do all the homework and legwork to take as much of the load off my clients as possible. And I stick with them through as many apartments as they need to see to make the right decision. Their happiness is my ultimate goal,” says Jennifer, who is a member of the top-producing Barak/Blackburn Group at Corcoran. Later returning to Hunter College to earn a BA in Psychology and Spanish, it’s no wonder Jennifer has become so effective dealing with people of all kinds. Outside of work she is still passionate about dance, plus she enjoys staying active with sports, from waterskiing to snow skiing.
