Press Release:

NYU Names Corcoran Sunshine President Kelly Kennedy Mack First-Ever Distinguished Young Alumna of the Year

October 7, 2010

(New York, New York) - (October 7, 2009) - New York University on Friday named Kelly Kennedy Mack winner of the Distinguished Young Alumna Award. Mack, 35, is President of Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. NYU honors its outstanding alumni annually, but this year marked the debut of a new award category - Distinguished Young Alumna - of which Mack was the inaugural recipient. The award recognizes an NYU graduate, 35 or younger, for outstanding achievement in business or professional life.

Mack was joined by fellow honorees in three other categories: Maria Bartiromo, anchor of CNBC's "Closing Bell" and host and managing editor of the "Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo"; Abraham Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League; and Inonge Mbikusita-Lewanika, Zambia's ambassador to the United States.

NYU President John Sexton was instrumental in selecting the winners, who were honored at an October 2 luncheon at The Metropolitan Club of New York.

In his remarks, Sexton commended Mack's achievements in real estate. "Kelly, we convey this award in recognition of your outstanding contributions to the real estate industry." Sexton continued, "Your meteoric rise as President of Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group has resulted in the company's undeniable success during one of the most challenging times in real state history. You bring pride to the NYU community."

Mack is a 2002 graduate of The Leonard N. Stern School of Business at NYU where she received her MBA. Upon graduation, she joined The Sunshine Group as vice president of business development. Quickly recognized by the company's founder and industry icon Louise Sunshine for her contributions to the organization, Mack was named executive vice president in 2004, and became President of Corcoran Sunshine in 2006.

The company has generated over $9 billion in sales since she took the reins, and in 2009 The Real Deal Magazine named the company New York's #1 new development marketer, both for buildings represented and total number of units handled.

Mack makes her mark on New York City in many ways. She donates her spare time in support of the Hassenfeld Children's Center at NYU, an outpatient treatment center for pediatric oncology and blood disorders, and serves as a member of the Penn Institute for Urban Research Advisory Board.
