DONE DEALS: Talking same language

WHEN Corcoran agent, Isabel Biderman, and her foreign buyer met Jaswant Lalwani and his foreign seller, it could have spelled disaster.

But constant communication and a little bit of schooling had both sides celebrating a $9.5 million deal.

Biderman's art-loving buyer fell in love with the four bedroom Trump Tower apartment number 61AB the minute he saw it.

"It had all the qualities we had been looking for," said Biderman, noting her client wanted views and a loft space to hang his art collection.

The 3,000 s/f apartment offers panoramic city and river views from every room and, after a two year gut renovation, was in pristine condition. Dramatic walls sealed the deal.

Lalwani added, "With both foreign buyers and foreign sellers, the complexities of the sale were streamlined by diligently educating my clients about the financial implications of the sale.

"With both parties not present, it was especially important to communicate several times daily to make sure the sale was proceeding smoothly."

It was a 60 day process that began when Lalwani listed the apartment at $9.85 million.
