I write to praise Michael Makris for his extraordinary service to me. I called McEnearney cold in mid-October and was referred to Mike. Our home in Hollin Hills had been on the market since March. I retired end of May, and my retirement financial plan was premised upon the sale of our house. Its sale would end that mortgage, and profit from it also would enable us to pay off the mortgage on our retirement home. Over 8 months we grew increasingly frustrated with our initial realtors, whom we found too passive and insufficiently communicative. From my first conversation with Mike, we found him exactly the opposite. He saw that selling the home as promptly as possible was our top priority, and persuaded us to make a few modest cosmetic improvements and to lower the price sharply. We signed with him on November 1, 2012, and he attacked the sales challenge like a dynamo. On the same evening that we signed our agreement, Mike had to drive to Wisconsin to see his dying grandfather; however, he stayed in touch by phone and computer all weekend.
